The strikethrough button appears on the Mail formatting bar located above the main part of new emails and email replies. You can strike out words, letters, or entire paragraphs using the strikethrough button from the format bar. Open a new email screen or a forward or reply-to screen in the macOS Mail application.
Select Underline On or Strikethrough On to turn on underline or strikethrough for the current text. For Weight, choose a weight or type a value to determine the thickness of the underline or strikethrough line.

Select the text to strike through, and then press Command + T or select Show Fonts under the Font menu. At the top of the window, select the menu that looks like a capital T with a line through it. From there, you can choose a single or double strikethrough and select a color.
Write the text, select the part you want to strike out, choose the BIU ( Bold/italic/underline) option and you will get the option to strikeout.
Select the text you want to strikethrough. Press Command (⌘) + Shift + X on your keyboard. The selected text will now appear with a strikethrough.
On a Mac, you can take the following steps to strike through text: Select the text you want to strike through. Press Command+Shift+X. Your text will now have a line through it.
