Click and drag your cursor through the text that you want to modify, which highlights it. Highlighting the text means that any formatting or editing tools you use are going to affect that section alone. While highlighted, click the Font color button, then the Strikethrough button. With the text or cell selected, click on the Format menu in the menu bar. Hover over Text and then click on Strikethrough. You can also use the keyboard shortcut Alt + Shift + 5 (Cmd + Shift + X on Mac).
Press Ctrl+D on Windows or Command+D on Mac. Click the Strikethrough option under Effects in the middle of the window.
Go to Review Track Changes. When Track Changes is on, the section is highlighted. Deletions are marked with a strikethrough, and additions are marked with an underline.
Turn on Track Changes to show edits made in a document, and use Show Markup to show the types of revisions youd like to display. Select Review Track Changes to turn it on. Make edits in your document and Word captures any edits you make.
To insert a line break in Microsoft Word, click a space in the document. Hold Shift and press Enter. Holding Shift removes any gaps created by pressing Enter alone. To insert a visible horizontal line, enter three dashes (-) and press Enter.
