in a patient with a suspected acl tear i like to do a lockmanamp;#39;s test primarily but before i do my lockmanamp;#39;s test i like to do a sag sign which is looking to see if the tibia is sitting posteriorly because of a pcl tear so a lockmanamp;#39;s test may be a false positive if there is an underlying pcl tear and not a true acl tear so i like to slide down the medial side of the femur till i get to the tibial plateau i should stop if there is a bump at the tibial plateau or if itamp;#39;s sitting in its appropriate position if itamp;#39;s sitting too far posteriorly i wonamp;#39;t hit that bump which will mean a pcl tier and not an acl tier
