if you have a data set that has a column for folks first name and a column for their last name and you want to put it together in the same cell with just their first name initial a dot a space and then their last name you can do that using the concatenate and the left function iamp;#39;m going to show you how to do that right now so the first thing we do is write equals concatenate because weamp;#39;re going to bring in the contents from two separate cells and bring it into one and thatamp;#39;s what concatenate means in excel language and then this first bit of text that we want to bring in is just the first initial the first name so we do that by using left and weamp;#39;re looking the text that weamp;#39;re using is the first name text and we only want the first letter so we put 1 in there meanwhile if we were to put 2 it would return j i it would produce the first two letters starting from the left but we only want the first one so we put one now to put the dot in the space we

Tap and hold the text to select the line in which you wish to strike through. The in-context marking menu will appear. Drag either of the blue bookends to the left or right to narrow or widen your text selection. Tap the strikethrough S icon from the in-context marking menu.
On a PC, use the following shortcut to strike through text: Select the text you want to strike through. Press Ctrl+D.
1 Answer Select the text. Click Format Text in the editing ribbon. Click the Strikethrough button icon which is an ab with a line through it. If you dont see this icon, maximize the window.
Press Ctrl+D on Windows or Command+D on Mac. Click the Strikethrough option under Effects in the middle of the window. Press OK.
Open the TextEdit app on your Mac. Select the text you want to strikethrough. Right-click on the selected text and choose Font Strikethrough. Alternatively, use the Format menu, then Font, and Strikethrough.
The strikethrough button appears on the Mail formatting bar located above the main part of new emails and email replies. You can strike out words, letters, or entire paragraphs using the strikethrough button from the format bar. Open a new email screen or a forward or reply-to screen in the macOS Mail application.
If you want to strikethrough text in a more efficient way, use the keyboard shortcut for it: On Mac, highlight your text and ⌘ + Shift + X. On Computer, highlight your text and press Alt + Shift + 5.
Underline or strikethrough text: Click the Text Underline or Text Strikethrough button , then choose an option from the pop-up menu, such as Double. To change the line color, choose Color from the pop-up menu, then click a color.
