How to strike out information in excel

Hey, this is Taylor with the strikethrough shortcut for Microsoft Excel. And thereamp;#39;s two different ways to shortcut this in Excel. Now first off, different than Word and PowerPoint, there is no strikethrough command you can click up here with your mouse or use your ribbon guide shortcuts like a show in my other videos. So the two keyboard shortcuts, the very first one is just control five control five will either apply a strikethrough, all right? Or if you select items within a list that already have a strikethrough and hit Ctrl five a second time, youamp;#39;ll remove them. So this is one option, a longer route, but it gives you more options is Ctrl one. So in Excel hitting Ctrl one Iamp;#39;ll select some cells will give you the format cells dialog box. Now depending on where this dialog box opens, youamp;#39;ll need to use your shortcut keys to jump to these different tabs, which Iamp;#39;ll demo. So Ctrl one, itamp;#39;s going to open up the font tab. You just hit F on

Select the cells containing the data you want to format. Click the Format Cells box launcher. Tip: You can also press Ctrl+5. In the Format Cells box, under Effects, click Strikethrough.
Go to Data Data Tools Text to Columns. Select the delimiter or delimiters to define the places where you want to split the cell content, and then select Apply.
The steps for Strikethrough using the Excel shortcut key are as follows: First, select the cells in which we need the Strikethrough format. Now, use the Excel Strikethrough shortcut key, Ctrl+5. The data will strike out, as shown below.
On a PC, use the following shortcut to strike through text: Select the text you want to strike through. Press Ctrl+D. A font dialog box will appear. Press Alt+K. The strikethrough feature should now be selected. Press OK. The text will now have a line through it.
Here are four methods you can use to extract a substring in Excel: Use the LEFT, RIGHT and MID functions. You can use the LEFT, RIGHT and MID functions to extract specific text from a cell. Use the TRIM function. Use the MID and FIND functions. Use Flash Fill.
For example, to split by both a comma, and a period, use =TEXTSPLIT(A1,{,,.}).
You can use the keyboard shortcut Ctrl + 5 to strikethrough Excel for Windows; on a Mac, press CMD + Shift + X. To add strikethrough to part of a cell, double-click the cell and select just the text you want to strike through.
Instead, you can Split text into different columns with functions. Select the cell or cells whose contents you want to split. Go to Data Data Tools Text to Columns. Select the delimiter or delimiters to define the places where you want to split the cell content, and then select Apply.
