hi and welcome to your fourth tutorial on John steinbecks of M and men in this tutorial weamp;#39;re going to look at a first impressions of curly now Curlyamp;#39;s a kind of interesting character we like to paint him as the villain and in a lot of ways he is the villain heamp;#39;s really not a very nice guy um however I want to um sort of move away from the normal interpretations of curly and try and look a little bit deeper into his character but again we are just going to use a quotation from Fair early on um when we first meet him so hereamp;#39;s the quotation that weamp;#39;re going to use he wore a work glove on his left hand and like the boss he wore high heeled boots he glanced coldly at George and then at Lenny his arms gradually bent at the elbows and His Hands closed into fists so the first thing that weamp;#39;re going to uh talk about is his hands now we noticed that heamp;#39;s wearing a work glove now if we read on U we find out that Curley fills this glove wit

Both men are uncomfortable at first but Candy is respectful and Crooks pleased to have more company. Candy talks to Lennie about raising rabbits on the farm. He has been busy calculating numbers and thinks he knows how the farm can make some money with rabbits.
The character of George is directly characterized as small and quick, having small, strong hands, slender arms, a thick, and bony nose. Lennie is described in the first chapter as a huge man that walked heavily, dragging his feet a little, the where a bear drags his paws. The initial direct characterization
Curleys wife shows many sides to herself in chapter 4, she starts off being very nice and friendly, to getting slightly annoyed at the men and finally to get very upset at how she is constantly ignored by the other ranch workers and her husband.
Answer and Explanation: In Of Mice and Men chapter four, George is in town with the other workers. They went to old Suzys place, a brothel in town.
In chapter 3 of Of Mice and Men, George makes Lennie return a puppy he was hiding in his coat. Candy reluctantly allows Carlson to kill his dog because the dog smells. George, Lennie, and Candy discuss buying a farm together. Curley and Slim are angry with each other because Curley thinks Slim has been with his wife.
Answer and Explanation: Lennie is lonely in Of Mice and Men due to his mental handicap. He is not able to properly follow along when others are talking, requiring them to repeat things and simplify instructions. He can understand some things, usually the stories people tell him and insults that hurt his feelings.
In Chapter 4, Lennie gets mad at Crooks when he thinks that Crooks knows something about George getting hurt. Crooks tries to explain to Lennie that he was asking a hypothetical question, but Lennie does not understand. It takes Crooks some time to pacify Lennies fears that George is in danger.
