hi whiskey 4 Mike Romeo whiskey here uh so today weamp;#39;re going to cover the um the GM function or the group monitor function here on the ftm-400dr from Yu so what is the GM function so basically basically this function will automatically check to see if thereamp;#39;s any stations that also have the GM function in operation on the same frequency that are within your communication range um the unit will then display the position and distance and other information for each gr member call sign on that screen so besides that you know whoamp;#39;s within the range of communication this function is also convenient for instantly checking the relative positions of all members in the group so you know without uh reading the the manual here word for word why donamp;#39;t we actually give this a go so right now on the FTM 400d Iamp;#39;m on 14752 5 um which I may have said in earlier videos is basically the Simplex frequency that Iamp;#39;ll be using when I have uh this unit turned on
