good evening this is Karen Harding Barrister and sisti from ockland welcome to this training session on um the summary of the law and application for summary judgment by a defendant where thereamp;#39;s no defense or no cause of action can succeed in relation to a plaintive statement of claim so weamp;#39;re going to run through over the core points of law so that youamp;#39;re clear on what youamp;#39;re doing and why youamp;#39;re doing it so the court may give judgment against a plaintiff if the defendants can satisfy the court that none of the causes of action in a defendant statement of claim can succeed the plaintiff needs to establish sufficient basic facts to raise at least a Primacy case against a defendant if they canamp;#39;t this is where you as counsel or if youamp;#39;re a self litigant will want to apply for either strike out or summary judgment so an application for sublet for summary judgment in the district court is under Part 12 of The District Court Rules 201
