Hey guys, itamp;#39;s Tiffany from Super Easy Math. Todayamp;#39;s math problem of the day says, amp;quot;8 to the seventh power times eight to the negative ninth power.amp;quot; Well if you remember whenever you have a number written to a negative power, that means that number has the same value but in the denominator position with a positive exponent. So what that means is I can rewrite this problem as 8 to the seventh power times one over eight to the ninth power. Well that can simplify to just eight to the seventh power over eight to the ninth power. Now you can cross cancel these out. Okay so you end up with one over eight to the second which is the same thing as 1 over 64. Hereamp;#39;s tomorrowamp;#39;s math problem of the day. See if you can solve it before I do. But donamp;#39;t forget to head over to supereasymath.com where you can get a live math tutor who can help you with all your math needs.
