In this tutorial Im going to walk through manipulating the event validation field to view data that Im not supposed to see by default. In this application, were going to have a simple account application that lets me view different banking accounts that I have. This is for just demonstration purposes, and by default, ASP.net enables the viewstateMAC property, which would block this from being able to happen. Here we can see a simple application that allows me to view different accounts. I can select an account, James Saving, get account, and here we can see account name, account number, and account balance. What we want to do is be able to select an account that I dont have currently in my drop down list. So the first thing that we have to do, is we need to intercept the traffic with the fiddler debugging proxy. Here we can see I have the request that I just made, and the response with it.
