Volatility Index (VIX): Often referred to as the fear index, it measures the stock markets expectation of volatility based on SP 500 index options.
RSI is calculated using the formula RSI = 100 (100 / [1 + {14-Day Average Gain / 14-Day Average Loss}]) It can create chart patterns that are not visible on the price chart, like trend lines or double tops/bottoms.
OTM options (Out of the money options) A call option is said to be in OTM if the strike price is more than the current spot price of the security. I.e.Spot- Strike 0. A put option is said to be OTM if the strike price is less to the current spot price of the security.
As the relative strength index is mainly used to determine whether a security is overbought or oversold, a high RSI reading can mean that a security is overbought and the price may drop.
Since OTM options require the underlying assets price to move docHubly in the anticipated direction, they have a higher likelihood of expiring worthless if the market doesnt move favorably.
Relative strength index Type of indicator: momentum. The relative strength index (RSI) is used to signal whether a market has been overbought or oversold. This can help traders decide whether to buy or sell, as a trend could be about to reverse.
Which is better ITM or ATM or OTM? It depends on your strategy and market outlook. Usually, ITM options offer immediate profit, ATM options provide a balance of risk and reward, and OTM options have the potential for higher returns but carry more risk.
The RSIs reading indicates the relationship between upwards and downwards movements in the past. Most traders use an RSI based on the last 14 periods. For each of these periods, the RSI calculates the difference between the periods opening and closing price.
Out of the money (OTM) is one of three terms used to address an options moneyness, with the other two being at the money and in the money. An out of the money options contract has not yet docHubed the value of its strike price, meaning it has no intrinsic value and will expire worthless.
Note: Indexing in the binary representation starts from 0 from the right. For example in the binary number 000011, the first set bit is at index 0 from the right, and the second set bit is at index 1 from the right. Examples: Input: N = 15, K = 3 Output: 2 15 is 1111, hence the third bit is at index 2 from right.
