one uh today i wanted to talk to you a little bit about painting on a raw canvas and primed canvas and painting on the roll or actually stretching the canvas before you paint so the benefit of painting on a roll of raw canvas is that its cheaper and you usually get more canvas than you would obviously if it was stretched already i mean you get to pick the sizing so you get a little bit more crafty and creative with this the downfall of it is that when you do go to stretch it youre gonna have to make sure that you put a lot of paint on it because it will show areas that you didnt get all the paint on there and little bits of raw it does give a lot when you stretch like you can get a lot out of it um so you just wanna make sure that when you did paint the artwork that youre not getting too close to the edges unless you dont mind the look of your paint wrapping around like this piece here i painted too close to the edge so it will get wrapped around the wooden stretcher eventually t
