Use of Fingers: Each finger is designated to specific keys; the pinky finger for the A and the semicolon keys, the ring finger for the S and L keys, the middle finger for the D and K keys, and the index finger for the F and J keys. Thumbs are positioned over the spacebar.
; (semicolon) key The right pinky (little) finger is placed over the ; key and is also responsible for most keys on the keyboard, including the following keys.
The right index finger is used for the following keys: 0, 1, 4, and 7. The right mid- dle finger is used for the following keys: period, 2, 5, 8, and the division slash. The right ring finger is used for the following keys: Enter, 3, 6, 9, addition, subtraction, and multiplication asterisk keys.
There are two shift keys; each is pressed by the right or left fourth finger (your pinkie finger). Use the right shift key when typing letters or symbols with the left hand. Use the left shift key when typing letters or symbols with the right hand.
Section G keys are pressed by the right middle finger. These keys include the number 8 and the letters I and K, and the comma.
I know that you right pinky should be used ideally for the letter p. However I find it much quicker and easier to use my ring finger on it.
Start with the home row The left hand pinky finger starts things off on the A key, the ring finger sits on the S key, the middle finger takes the D and the index the F. Thumbs dont have a row and typically hover over the spacebar which can be hit with either hand, depending on the typists preference.
