Now first off, different than Word and PowerPoint, there is no strikethrough command you can click up here with your mouse or use your ribbon guide shortcuts like a show in my other videos. So the two keyboard shortcuts, the very first one is just control five control five will either apply a strikethrough, all right? Or if you select items within a list that already have a strikethrough and hit Ctrl five a second time, youll remove them. So this is one option, a longer route, but it gives you more options is Ctrl one. So in Excel hitting Ctrl one Ill select some cells will give you the format cells dialog box. Now depending on where this dialog box opens, youll need to use your shortcut keys to jump to these different tabs, which Ill demo. So Ctrl one, its going to open up the font tab. How to Strikethrough on Google Sheets Using the File Menu Select the cell containing the text you want to apply a strikethrough on. In the File Menu, Go to Format. Select Text Strikethrough. Your text will now have a strikethrough. Select your cell containing the text you want to format.
The standard way to use the strikethrough feature is to select the text you want to strikethrough and then select the strikethrough feature on the home tab. However, Word also has shortcuts that you can use to achieve the same thing. Press CTRL + D.
Method #1 Strikethrough Using the Excel Shortcut Key Steps for strikethrough using the Excel shortcut key are as follows: First, select the cells in which we need the strikethrough format. Once the cells are selected, use the Excel strikethrough shortcut key, Ctrl+5. The data will strike out.
