ACLs allow us to apply a more specific set of permissions to a file or directory without (necessarily) changing the base ownership and permissions. They let us tack on access for other users or groups.
What Are The Types of ACLs? Standard ACL. The standard ACL aims to protect a network using only the source address. Extended ACL. With the extended ACL, you can also block source and destination for single hosts or entire networks. Dynamic ACL. Reflexive ACL.
