Email signature size dimensions The optimum dimensions of an email signature should be around 300600 px wide and 150200 px high. While the width is limited by the size of the screen the signature is viewed on, there are no technical limits to height.
The quickest way to fix this is to use a higher resolution image in your email signature, and scale the image down using the HTML height and width attributes. For example, if the resolution of your image is 360 x 360 pixels, you should use 1/3 of that resolution in the height and width attributes.
The image should be between 300 to 600 pixels in width, or between four to eight inches at 72 dpi.
The best image size to include in your email signature is approx. 300-400 pixels wide and 70-100 pixels high. For example, a business award or accreditation logo.
The ideal size for email signatures (both text and image) is no more than 650 pixels wide and between 90 and 150 pixels high. This allows for images (headshot, logo, promotional banner) and contact information to be kept streamlined without dominating the email. We recommend an email signature width of 650 pixels.
Use a scanner to create a high-resolution scan of your signature, if your scanner has the option, set for maximum dots per inch, often abbreviated as DPI. In the scanning software, crop the image to remove the excess white space. Save the resulting image as a PNG or JPG file.
A good email signature for new emails should include the following elements: First name and last name. Title and department. Email address and telephone number. Company logo and company name.
Theres no set rule on how big or small an email signature should be. That said, 300 x 600 pixels is widely considered to be a good size.
You have about 600 pixels width to work with, but email signature width best practices suggest that you should aim for a size of about 320 pixels wide. This is because many email signatures these days are viewed on mobile devices. For height, it is recommended that you keep it below 200 pixels.
Additionally, the email signature size should not be too large, as it can distract your reader from the email, as well as not too small where your reader barely notices it. The typical email signature size in inches is less than eight inches wide and two inches tall, when converted from pixels.
