To freeze multiple columns, select the column to the right of the last column you want frozen and click Freeze Panes. Say you want to freeze the top four rows and leftmost three columns. Youd select cell D5, and then on the View tab, click Freeze Panes.
To freeze the row/column we can use a simple HTML table and CSS. HTML: In HTML we can define the header row by tag or we can use tag also. Below example is using the tag. We also put the table in DIV element to see the horizontal and vertical scrollbar by setting the overflow property of the DIV element.
Freeze columns and rows Select the cell below the rows and to the right of the columns you want to keep visible when you scroll. Select View Freeze Panes Freeze Panes.
In case you want to freeze more than one column, this is what you need to do: Select the column (or the first cell in the column) to the right of the last column you want to lock. Go to the View tab, and click Freeze Panes Freeze Panes.
If the Freeze Panes option is not available, it may be because there may be panes that are frozen already. In that case, select Unfreeze Panes to start over.
To lock more than one row or column, or to lock both rows and columns at the same time, choose the View tab, and then click Freeze Panes. You will want your cursor to be below the row(s) you want to freeze and to the right of any column(s) you want to freeze.
In case you want to freeze more than one column, this is what you need to do: Select the column (or the first cell in the column) to the right of the last column you want to lock. Go to the View tab, and click Freeze Panes Freeze Panes.
To freeze horizontal and vertical headings simultaneously: Select the cell in the upper-left corner of the range you want to remain scrollable. Select View tab, Windows Group, click Freeze Panes from the menu bar. Excel inserts two lines to indicate where the frozen panes begin.
