4. Click the table row you want to move to the next page, and then press Ctrl-Enter to separate the table on two pages.
One obvious consideration is the height of the table. A table cannot be prevented from splitting across a page break if the page on which it begins doesnt have enough room to accommodate the entire table.
To change the option: Select the whole table by clicking once in the table and then on the table selector. From the Table Tools, Layout tab, Table group, click the Properties icon. From the Table Properties dialog box, select the Row tab; Select the option Allow Row to break across pages Click OK.
Split cells Select the cell that you want to split. Select Layout Split Cells. Enter the number of columns or rows that you want to split the selected cell into, and then select OK.
Select Layout Merge Cells. To unmerge cells, select the cells and select Unmerge Cells.
On the LAYOUT tab, in the Merge group, click Split Table. The table splits into two tables.
Merge or split cells in a table Select the cells that you want to merge. Under Table Tools, on the Layout tab, in the Merge group, click Merge Cells.
This problem happens when you select entire table and enable Repeat as header row at the top of each page in table properties window. Fix: Uncheck the checkbox Repeat as header row at the top of each page on table properties.
How to Merge Tables in MS Word Hover the mouse over the table youre moving. Using your cursor, drag the highlighted table to the table youre merging it with. Navigate to the Layout tab under Table Tools. Drag your cursor over a selection of cells you want to merge.
