Go to settings, contacts, sort order. Set to order by first name or last name.
In the People tab, click Add/Remove Columns and check the boxes for the First Name and Last Name columns. You can uncheck the Full Name column if you wish. Then click on the First Name column header and choose Sort AZ to sort alphabetically.
Create a group Groups are listed in alphabetical order, with All Contacts at the top of the list. in the sidebar, then choose New Group. A new group is added, with a placeholder name. Type a name for the group, then press Return or Enter.
Go to Format Text Sort. Set Sort by to Paragraphs and Text in the Sort Text box. Select either Ascending (A to Z) or Descending (Z to A). Select OK.
You can choose how to sort your contacts, like alphabetically by first or last name. Go to Settings Contacts and choose from the following: Sort Order: Sort your contacts alphabetically by first or last name. Display Order: Show contacts first names before or after last names.
Sorting Contacts by Last Name Open the Contacts app, then tap on the hamburger button (three lines) in the top-left corner, then choose Settings. Now, tap on the Sort by button, then a popup will appear and you will have the option to choose how to sort your contacts list. Select Last Name.
You can sort contacts in the contacts list by first or last name. In the Contacts app on your Mac, choose Contacts Settings, then click General. Click the Sort By pop-up menu to sort contacts in alphabetical order by first or last name.
Go to Settings Contacts and choose from the following: Sort Order: Sort your contacts alphabetically by first or last name. Display Order: Show contacts first names before or after last names. Short Name: Choose how your contacts name appears in apps like Mail, Messages, Phone, and more.
If youre in the phone app, you have one extra step to follow: from the Settings sub-menu, you need to tap on the General tab, and only then you can change the way contacts are sorted. You also have the option to choose the name format of your contacts: first name first, or last name first.
