Method - 1: The Print Screen (Prt Sc) Combos If you want to capture the entire screen at one go, press the Windows key and Prt Sc key simultaneously. If youd like to capture a single active window, all you need to do is click on the window you want to take a snapshot of and then press Alt + Prt Sc simultaneously.
Press Ctrl + PrtScn keys. The entire screen changes to gray including the open menu. Select Mode, or in earlier versions of Windows, select the arrow next to the New button. Select the kind of snip you want, and then select the area of the screen capture that you want to capture.
Typically, when you take a screenshot on a Dell, the image will be stored in your clipboard instead of directly saved as an image file.
Hit the PrtScn button/ or Print Scrn button, to take a screenshot of the entire screen: When using Windows, pressing the Print Screen button (located in the top right of the keyboard) will take a screenshot of your entire screen. Hitting this button essentially copies an image of the screen to the clipboard.
Open Snipping Tool and take a screenshot Press Windows logo key + Shift + S. The desktop will darken while you select an area for your screenshot. Rectangular mode is selected by default. The screenshot is automatically copied to your clipboard.
