Snapping can be turned on for objects and paths and for working with the node tool and the pen tool and particularly interesting is the snapping for points and handles. So points are called nodes - letamp;#39;s stick to that. The node tool and it kind of works like the direct selection tool in illustrator and Iamp;#39;ve also turned on some general snapping options in here.
