binary is a base 2 number system similar to how decimal is a base 10 number system itamp;#39;s also how all computers think and store information on their most basic level the easiest way to understand binary is by comparing it to decimal because that is the system we use most frequently decimal being a base 10 number system means there are 10 different states it can be in each position from 0 to 9 while binary being base 2 means can only be 0 or 1 in each position counting it from 0 both systems start with 0 and then 1 but then binary is used at both potential states for the first position so it has to add a new one to count up to 2 and this continues as we continue to count up so just like decimal counting in binary just involves using up each state in the lowest position and then adding a new position but why do computers use binary thatamp;#39;s because of this little guy right here called a transistor a transistor is an electrical component that only lets electricity flow throug

Storing binary data Computers store information in their memory. A computers memory is made up of special switches. To store information in the memory, computers turn these switches on or off. When a switch is turned on it represents the binary value of 1 and when it is turned off it represents the binary value of 0.
Uppercase letters start with 010 and lowercase letters start with 011. The letter a is 01100001. From there, count the number of the letter and write that number in binary. For example, the letter d is the fourth letter (100), which is written as 01100100 in binary.
In order for the computer to store the image, each pixel is represented by a binary value. We call this representation of colours a bit-plane. Each bit doubles the number of available colours i.e. 1-bit would give us 2 colours, 2-bits would give us 4 colours and 3-bits would give us 8 colours etc.
Unlike text files that store data as readable characters, binary files store data in the same format the computers processor uses. They can represent various data types images, audio, video, executable programs, and more.
Binary image data uses a bit-depth of 1, meaning every pixel can only take on two values: 0 (represented as white) and 1 (represented as black). Bit-depth refers to the color information stored in an image. More bit depth means each color can present a wider range of values and therefore more nuanced color.
There are several ways to store images in a database, including as binary data, file paths, or using cloud storage. The best method depends on the specific requirements and constraints of the project.
