hey friends so today iamp;#39;ve got a tool tip i just discovered a new tool this one was completely new to me uh others may have heard about it before and if so well congratulations this is called a hot knife so iamp;#39;m in a project right now itamp;#39;s uh insulating the roof of an a-frame on top of a roundwood log woodshed and i needed a way to cut this r20 uh foam insulation itamp;#39;s four inches thick you can see here nice thick stuff and everything i tried uh worked very poorly uh you know i tried a razor knife but of course it didnamp;#39;t uh sink down four inches into the foam i tried a long uh jigsaw blade that was supposed to be for cut and foam board and it was worthless it would uh wander in the cut and make a not a the cut wasnamp;#39;t 90 degrees to the surface of the foam so it was really difficult to get a good edge on the foam um just one day i was searching on amazon or actually i think youtube and other people were suggesting this for cutting foam i watch

Press the Windows logo key + PrntScrn key together. On tablets, press the Windows logo button + the volume down button together. (The screenshot is saved in the Screenshots folder in the Pictures folder.)
Press the Windows logo key + Shift + S. Your PC darkens as you select an area for your screenshot. A default rectangular mode pops up. To change the shape of your snip, click and choose one of the options on the toolbar (Rectangular mode, Window mode, Full-screen mode, and Free-form mode).
The simplest way to cut XPS foam straight and cleanly is to use a saw.
Press the Windows key + Shift key + S key, all simultaneously. Your screen will diminish and your cursor will be changed to a crosshair. Select the segment of your screen which you need to be caught. A thumbnail will spring up on your PC screen where a Cut saved to clipboard is composed.
Open Snipping Tool Press Windows logo key + Shift + S for a static image snip. Press Print Screen (PrtSc) for a static image snip. Press Windows logo key + Shift + R for a video snip.
Various tools, such as hand saws, hot wire cutters, long blade utility knives, and jigsaws, can be used for cutting polystyrene insulation.
The Print Screen key allows you to take a screenshot quickly and easily on a Dell. On most Dell keyboards, this key is located in the top row of keys at the right, close to the Del key. On some Dell keyboards, the Print Screen key may also be one of the Function keys (e.g., F10 ).
Hot wire foam cutting can be used on a variety of foam materials, such as Expanded Polystyrene (EPS), Extruded Polystyrene (XPS), and other foam varieties.
