By default, Snipping Tool files are saved in your Pictures folder, with the name of Snip followed by a number. However, you can choose where you want to save snips, such as OneDrive, when you save them. To save a snip with Snipping Tool: Open Snipping Tool by searching for it in the taskbar.
Open the Snip Sketch tool. Click on the three dots in the top right corner and select Settings. Under the Save snips section, click on the Change button next to Save To. Choose your desired folder and click Select Folder.
Click the search bar in your taskbar. Type Accessibility keyboard settings. Select the Open button to open the Accessibility keyboard settings window. Find the Use the Print screen key to open Snipping Tool option and click the slider bar off.
Right-click the Screenshots folder. Click Properties. Click the Location tab. Click Move to browse for a new screenshot location and select the folder you want.

Answer: The default save location for Snipping Tool files in Windows 10 is the Pictures Screenshots folder. To save a snip, open the Snipping Tool and select the Mode (Free-form, Rectangular, Window, or Full-screen) that you want to use. Then, take the snip and click the Save Snip button.
