There are four ways to open Snipping Tool: Select the Start button, enter snipping tool, then select Snipping Tool from the results. Press Windows logo key + Shift + S for a static image snip. Press Print Screen (PrtSc) for a static image snip. Press Windows logo key + Shift + R for a video snip.
Navigate to the Snipping Tool via the Start Menu. Right-click on the Snipping Tool and select Open file location. Right-click on the Snipping Tool shortcut and select Properties. In the Shortcut tab, click on the Shortcut key box and press the key combination you want to assign (e.g., Ctrl + Alt + S).
Check the Keyboard. If the Snipping Tool shortcut doesnt work, you should check if the Windows key, the Shift key, and the S key can work normally. If these keys are damaged, you may need to repair or replace the keyboard.
Click on App settings, and a new window will pop up. Scroll down through the list of apps and click on Snipping Tool. In the new window, click on Reset. After Snipping Tool is reset, restart your computer and try using it again.
To open the Snipping Tool app, you can search for it in the Start menu, or use the following keyboard shortcut: [Windows logo key + Shift + S]
Possible causes include: The Snipping Tool isnt installed or improperly installed. Using the wrong keyboard shortcut to open Snipping Tool. The Snipping Tool is blocked by a focus session or a third-party application.
Installing Windows 10 Snipping Tool Version through the Microsoft App Store You can download the Windows 10 version of the Snipping Tool Application from the Microsoft store. Once at the App store, type in snipping tool in the search bar. Open/ the application.
Reset the Snipping Tool app on your computer Right-click on Snipping Tool and choose More from the dropdown menu. Click on App settings, and a new window will pop up. Scroll down through the list of apps and click on Snipping Tool. In the new window, click on Reset.
