[Music] oh hi Im Jeff from the Jewish Museum lets forget about selfies I want to turn a photo into a really cool self portrait Im inspired by the self-portrait by the artist Michael Gross I love the way he simplified the shapes and used flat colors Im going to try to do the same Im starting with a printed photo of myself and Im covering the back of it with graphite using a regular pencil just pressing down making sure its dark when I flip the photo over and press it against a colored piece of paper I can trace the outline of the shapes of myself when I press down it presses the graphite into the colored paper and I can see the outlines of all of the shapes I actually draw each part of me on a different colored piece of paper then I cut out all of the parts separately and glue them on a brightly colored background and here it is a cool self-portrait that started as a photo what a really fun project now where did I throw my phone foreign
