Did you know that you can copy text from an image using the snipping tool? On your keyboard, press the print screen key. This opens up the snipping tool. Then highlight an image that you would like to extract text from. This opens up that image in the snipping tool. Then click on this icon, and this will now pull out all of that text. You can click on this icon to copy the text, and you can now paste that anywhere. Snip snip! Hooray!

What is snip feature?

A snip is an image of part of the screen. Users have the option to take snips as well as to adjust basic settings. To take a snip, press the button titled New. Then, adjust the box to get the area that you would like to capture.

How do you snip information?

Press Windows logo key + Shift + S for a static image snip. Press Print Screen (PrtSc) for a static image snip. Press Windows logo key + Shift + R for a video snip.

A PNG image that requires 198 bytes grows to a much larger 4.7kB file when saved over an existing image. When saved as a new file, it increases by only 56 bytes, probably adding some metadata.
