On the General tab, under Currently active, clear the Snap check box to deactivate snap, or select Snap to activate snap. Under Snap to, select the drawing elements that you want shapes to snap into alignment with, and then click OK. The snap settings that you choose apply to all shapes in the drawing.
To crop the image/shape, click the Crop icon in the Picture Format Ribbon. Cropping handles will appear move these by clicking and dragging, and the image will automatically be cropped.
To enable the grid, go to the View tab and select Gridlines. To snap shapes to the grid, go to the File tab, select Options, go to the Advanced section, and check the Snap objects to grid when the grid is visible option. Go to the View tab and select Gridlines to enable the grid.
To edit a screenshot in PowerPoint, go to Format Picture via the right-click context menu or Picture Format via the Ribbon menu. This will allow you to edit the size, picture style, and adjust the screenshot in a PowerPoint slide.
Crop an image to a shape After inserting the image, youll see the Picture Format tab in the ribbon. On the Picture Format tab, select the arrow next to Crop . Go to Crop to Shape and then select the shape from the available options. The shape is immediately applied to the image.
