I usually use the PrtScr shortcut (via Snipping Tools). After conducting some experiments, Ive observed that the screen capture results are influenced by brightness. Increasing the brightness helps, but the captures are still darker than what I see on the screen.
I do see it is a common problem with HDR if it is on. Turn it off for snip, then back on. If you go into windows display settings, Windows HD Color. If you have multiple monitors, you might have to go through difference monitors to find the one with it on.
To get higher-quality screenshots, you need to make sure your devices display resolution is set to the highest level and avoid zooming in while taking screenshots. Besides, you can also choose some professional screenshots apps to enhance your images.
When using the Snip tool, click on the down arrow and select the Free Form Snip. Then you use the Free Form and cut around the outside of the object and then you can paste the snipped part and there will be no background. You can paste into another picture if desired.
High Dynamic Range (HDR) can sometimes cause screenshots to appear brighter than they are. Go to Settings System Display. Under Advanced display, look for the HDR section. If its enabled, toggle the switch to Off.
In Snipping Tool, select Mode. In earlier versions of Windows, select the arrow next to the New button. Next, when you choose the kind of snip you want, youll see the whole screen change slightly to gray.
