labels help to organize forms a lot but we can do better sometimes certain form controls belong together in a logical grouping for example if our sign up form included a physical mailing address we would want to make sure all of that data was visually grouped together in our case we want to make two groups one for basic information and one for the information that will show up on a useramp;#39;s profile after theyamp;#39;ve logged into our imaginary app we can do that by wrapping our form controls in the field set element so letamp;#39;s try that out just after the h1 iamp;#39;m going to type a field set element and it will automatically close but i donamp;#39;t want it to close right there i actually want to wrap all of these form elements in a field set so iamp;#39;m going to highlight all of those and indent them and then i want to add a second field set and iamp;#39;ll move the closing tag just after our text area and iamp;#39;ll indent that as well weamp;#39;ll leave the

To create line breaks in HTML, use the tag. There is no closing tag necessary. In the code above, there will be a line break between 125 N 6th St and Brooklyn, NY 11249 that wont have the outrageous amount of space that appears between two paragraph elements. Itll just be a nice line break!
To preserve all the characters for some elements, use the xml:space attribute or the PRE element (only valid for XHTML documents). The possible values for the xml:space attribute are default and preserve . The value default means that an applications default white-space treatment is acceptable for these elements.
The HTML element produces a line break in text (carriage-return).
To do a line break in HTML, use the tag. Simply place the tag wherever you want to force a line break.
To insert a line break: Type where the line break should occur. There is no separate closing br tag.
1 Answer. You can use #xA; for line feed (LF) or #xD; for carriage return (CR), and an XML parser will replace it with the respective character when handing off the parsed text to an application.
