Iamp;#39;m going to click the legend and press CONTROL+1. Especially in Excel 2013, where they have all these different icons here, my general rule is you always start with the chart icon because thatamp;#39;s where the important things are, but not for the legend, and you can click through all of these, open all of these, and youamp;#39;re not going to find anything that lets you change the font size. You would think it would be here under TEXT OPTIONS, the TEXT FILL, no, the TEXT OUTLINE. Thereamp;#39;s all of these. None of these have font size. Even the TEXT BOX, no font size there, right? Select your chart and on the Chart Design tab, choose Select Data. Choose on the legend name you want to change in the Select Data Source dialog box, and select Edit. Note: You can update Legend Entries and Axis Label names from this view, and multiple Edit options might be available.
Rename a data series Right-click the chart with the data series you want to rename, and click Select Data. In the Select Data Source dialog box, under Legend Entries (Series), select the data series, and click Edit. In the Series name box, type the name you want to use.
While it is not possible to copy an entire legend object and paste it onto a graph, it is possible to copy and paste just the text portion of the legend. Double-click to edit the legend, select a portion (or all) of the text, and copy to the clipboard Then go to the second graph (or stay on the same one), and paste.
Click Format to open the chart formatting options. In the Chart pane, expand the Legend section. Add or edit the Legend to meet your needs. Use the switch to show or hide the legend.
In the worksheet, click the cell that contains the title or data label text that you want to change. Edit the existing contents, or type the new text or value, and then press ENTER. The changes you made automatically appear on the chart.
Click the chart, and then click the Chart Design tab. Click Add Chart Element Legend. To change the position of the legend, choose Right, Top, Left, or Bottom. To change the format of the legend, click More Legend Options, and then make the format changes that you want.
Follow these steps to use the Select Data tab to rename your legend: Select the chart. Find the Design tab. Click Select Data. In the Design toolbar, look for the Select Data icon, which has a spreadsheet with a picture of a graph in front of it. Select the legend name. Edit the name. Check your chart.
Edit legend entries in the Select Data Source dialog box Click the chart that displays the legend entries that you want to edit. On the Design tab, in the Data group, click Select Data. In the Select Data Source dialog box, in the Legend Entries (Series) box, select the legend entry that you want to change. Click Edit.
