Take a snapshot to copy words or images from all or part of your PC screen. Use Snipping Tool to make changes or notes, then save, and share. To start using the Snipping Tool press Windows logo key + Shift + S.
Open Snipping Tool by clicking the Start Button of the Start button. In the search box, type Snipping Tool, and then, in the list of results, click Snipping Tool. After you open Snipping Tool, pres Esc, and then open the menu that you want to capture. Press Ctrl+PrtScn.
Press Ctrl + PrtSc keys. The entire screen changes to gray including the open menu. Select Mode, or in earlier versions of Windows, select the arrow next to the New button. Select the kind of snip you want, and then select the area of the screen capture that you want to capture.
To take a screenshot of a part of your screen, hold down Shift + Command + 4 together. When you do this, youll notice that your cursor changes from an arrow to a crosshair. Click on one corner of the area you want to capture and drag it over the full area that you want to include in your screenshot.

How to Open the Snipping Tool Click the Start button, type snipping tool, and select it from the results. Use the keyboard shortcut: Windows logo key + Shift + S for a static image. Press the Print Screen (PrtSc) key for a standard screenshot. For a video, press the Windows logo key + Shift + R.
Capture a snip of a menu After you open Snipping Tool, open the menu that you want to capture. Press Ctrl + PrtSc keys.
