*Zip Pay: Minimum monthly repayments are required. A monthly account fee of $9.95 applies. This fee is waived each month you pay your statement closing balance, in full, by the due date. Available to approved applicants only.
Zip doesnt directly charge interest on its four-payment installment plan. Technically, its 0% interest. Whats easy to overlook, however, is that it imposes a finance charge, which Zip calls its installment fee. This fee is automatically divided into four and added to each installment payment on your plan.
Borrowers can be sent to collections If your payments are docHubly past your due date then Zip may send you to collections. Not all BNPL providers do this, and this kind of collection activity being added to your credit report can hurt your credit score.
Are there late fees? Zip only charges a $7 fee on a late payment thats overdue. You could be charged a further $7 fee if you remain late 7 days after the original payment is due.
Starting 31st July 2023, the late fee for Zip Pay in 4 will increase from $8 to $10 on new orders. If you miss a payment, you will see the new late fee of $10 added.
Adam McCann, Financial Writer Normally, your credit cards ZIP code will be the same as the ZIP code for your current mailing address. If it is not, that likely means you moved after getting the credit card and havent updated your billing address. In that case, you should update your address in your online account.
For example: If you make two purchases in February, you will receive a statement of your closing balance on 1 March. Youll have until 31 March to repay the full closing balance without being charged the $9.95 monthly account fee. No worries if youd prefer to take extra time to repay your balance!
