By default, the core Android operating system saves all screenshots using the PNG file format.
After you capture a snip, select the Save as button. In the Save As box, type a file name, location, and type, and then select Save.
The same process applies if you use Windows+Shift+S to capture a portion of the screen. However, using the Windows+Print Screen keyboard shortcut, Windows will automatically save the screenshot as a PNG file in your Pictures Screenshots folder, located at C:\Users[User Name]\Pictures\Screenshots.
After capturing the snip, click on File in the Snipping Tool window. Choose Save As.Select the Save as type dropdown and choose JPEG File.Click Save. If that doesnt work, try to use an ethernet cable (if you have) to connect your computer/device directly to your Router.
You can choose to capture your screenshots in JPG formats using different methods. On your Microsoft system, Paint app can be used to capture the screenshot in JPG format. Another way is to use the snipping tool. Both the methods to convert screenshot to JPG are listed below.
A screenshot is going to be in some uncompressed format such as PNG TIF OR BMP as screens are not compressed. However, once you take a screenshot, there are plenty of tools that can then permanently save it as a jpg.
By default, macOS saves screenshots to the desktop as PNG files.
Snips can then be annotated using a mouse or a tablet, stored as an image file (PNG, GIF, or JPEG file) or an MHTML file, or e-mailed. The Snipping Tool allows for basic image editing of the snapshot, with different colored pens, an eraser, and a highlighter.
