A: When you enable the USIP address mode of a NetScaler appliance, the appliance forwards each packet to the appropriate back end server with the client IP address.
NetScaler IP (NSIP) is the address where you access the machine for management purposes. Subnet IP (SNIP) is used for server side connections and will be used to route traffic that is destined for the VIP.
A subnet IP address (SNIP) is a NetScaler owned IP address that is used by the NetScaler to communicate with the servers. The NetScaler uses the subnet IP address as a source IP address to proxy client connections to servers.
SubNet IP (SNIP) A SNIP is the source IP address of a packet that is used by the NetScaler every time it wants to communicate with a server (or object). Servers also use the SubNet IP to respond to the NetScaler.
The USIP utilizes a mobile device or computer to communicate with smart devices (sensors, probes, controllers) to monitor and control any functions, thus replacing traditional instrument hardware.
NetScaler GUI Log in to the NetScaler appliance using nsroot credentials. Select Configuration System Network TCP/IP connections link. Select the Client Server Link Mapping option and click Continue. The Client and Server IP addresses are displayed in the Client-Server Connections table.
NetScaler Gateway is configured with a default IP address of 192.168. 100.1 and subnet mask of 255.255. 0.0 for management access. The default IP address is used whenever a user-configured value for the system IP (NSIP) address is absent.
