NetScaler IP (NSIP) is the address where you access the machine for management purposes. Subnet IP (SNIP) is used for server side connections and will be used to route traffic that is destined for the VIP.
A subnet, or subnetwork, is a segmented piece of a larger network. More specifically, subnets are a logical partition of an Internet Protocol (IP) network broken into multiple, smaller network segments.
SubNet IP (SNIP) A SNIP is the source IP address of a packet that is used by the NetScaler every time it wants to communicate with a server (or object). Servers also use the SubNet IP to respond to the NetScaler.
NetScaler Gateway is configured with a default IP address of 192.168. 100.1 and subnet mask of 255.255. 0.0 for management access. The default IP address is used whenever a user-configured value for the system IP (NSIP) address is absent.
To disable secure access to the Citrix ADC GUI by using the SNIP/MIP address of the appliance, navigate to System Network IPs Edit (SNIP ) and uncheck Secure Access only check-box.
