hello and welcome back to another video from publishing push im patrick walsh the owner and founder of publishing push today i want to talk to you about typesetting otherwise known as formatting and this is often construed as a boring topic but type setting and how you format your book is one of the most important elements [Music] type setting or formatting as it is otherwise known or in the industry we call it book page composition so book page composition is now arguably more important than ever before the reason for this is many many years ago of course publishers authors you just had to worry about creating your print book and your hardback and that was all you had to worry about and of course you created lets say a six by nine page book and it would be printed a reader would go into a shop theyd take it off the shelf and that was that you know that one format of the book that one type of book was all that needed to be produced now in the modern era things are different you have

Open your PowerPoint presentation. Click File, then Print. Go to the Show Details section. Choose Notes from the Layout dropdown.
Follow these steps: Open the PPT file in PowerPoint and select File Export from the menu bar. Name your file in the Save As text box and designate a location on your local disk to store it. Under File Format, select the Rich Text Format (.rtf) option.
Use Google Drive to convert your PPT. Right-click or command-click the PowerPoint file in your Google Drive. In the dropdown menu, hover over the Open with option and select Google Slides. Once the file opens in Google Slides, click File on the top toolbar and Save as Google Slides.
Click the Export button to save your PowerPoint as a new .rtf document. Open Microsoft Word on your MacBook and click the Open tab on the left panel. Locate and select the .rtf document. Click the Open button on the bottom right corner of the screen to convert the file to a Word document.
To export speaker notes to Word in 2013, 2016, 2019 and 365: Open the PowerPoint presentation with the speaker notes youd like to export to Word. Click the File tab in the Ribbon and select Export. Select Create Handouts from the menu. Click the Create Handouts button.
One of the most important steps of preparing any PowerPoint presentation is text formatting. A text formatting includes the font (typeface, style of lettering), font size, attributes such as bold and underline, fill color, and border (outline) color.
