- [Instructor] In an earlier video, we looked at creating slides to enhance the presentation of your sermon or lesson. In this video, we are going to look at how you can publish these slides to arrange your presentation tools. From your sermon documents, start the process by clicking the publish button. There are two main options for slide publishing: exporting to PowerPoint or sending to Faithlife Proclaim. If you wish to export to PowerPoint, click this option and then choose the format you want, depending on whether or not you want to be able to edit the exported slides. Choose the fully rendered option, which gives the option to choose where you want the file. Clicking on save will generate the export. Jesus showed in John 6:30-58 that he was the antitype of that manna. Notice the comparisons that have to do with the scheme of redemption. God sent the manna down from heaven. God sent the true bread (Christ) down from heaven (John 6:32).
Eastons Bible Dictionary - Type It properly means a model or pattern or mould into which clay or wax was pressed, that it might take the figure or exact shape of the mould. The word type is generally used to denote a resemblance between something present and something future, which is called the antitype.
Noahs Ark is a type of Jesus, who provides a place of refuge from the holy judgment of God. Melchizedek, whose name means king of righteousness, is a type of Christ because hes a priest (an intercessor), just as Jesus is our heavenly king and the priest who makes intercession with God on our behalf.
Websters dictionary defines a type as a person or thing [in the Old Testament] believed to foreshadow another [in the New Testament]. For example, comparing Adam in the Old Testament to Christ, Romans 5:14 says Adam is a type of Him who was to come.
Events, persons or statements in the Old Testament are seen as types prefiguring or superseded by antitypes, events or aspects of Christ or his revelation described in the New Testament. For example, Jonah may be seen as the type of Christ in that he emerged from the fishs belly and thus appeared to rise from death.
It is the text type favored by the majority of modern textual critics and it is the basis for most modern (after 1900) Bible translations. Over 5,800 New Testament manuscripts have been classified into four groups by text type. Besides the Alexandrian, the other types are the Western, Caesarean, and Byzantine.
For example, Paul in Romans 5:14 calls Adam a type [ ύ] of the one who was to come i.e., a type of Christ. He contrasts Adam and Christ both in Romans 5 and in 1 Corinthians 15. The author of the First Epistle of Peter uses the term ἀί (antitypon) to refer to baptism.
The episode is described in chapter 2 of the Gospel of Luke in the New Testament. Within the account, Lukes narration of the Presentation in the Temple combines the purification rite with the Jewish ceremony of the redemption of the firstborn (Luke 2:2324).
