You can use it when referring to a preliminary version of a set of slides, intended for review and improvement before they are finalized. For example: We need to work on the draft slides for the presentation before its ready to present to the client..
On the Design tab, select Watermark. In the Insert Watermark dialog, select Text and either type your own watermark text or select one, like DRAFT, from the list. Then, customize the watermark by setting the font, layout, size, colors, and orientation. If you dont see the watermark, click View Print Layout.
Draft means the opposite to final version. When you are creating any kind of document you might create a draft, and then edit it and improve it until you have the final version. Slides are likely to be PowerPoint, but could be Google docs or prezi or even pdf.
On the Insert tab, click Text Box. Type DRAFT in the text box (or whatever you want the watermark to say).

The main steps for creating a slide deck are: Define your slide deck goals. Research your target audience. Research your topic. Prioritize what you want to say. Write your slide deck narrative. Create or collect visuals that support your narrative. Use a template to set up your slide deck design.
Decide what the background of your slides will be, as this determines what color youll want your watermark text to be. See pick a theme or use a picture as a slide background. On the Insert tab, click Text Box. Type DRAFT in the text box (or whatever you want the watermark to say).
The predefined layouts include a Title slide to begin with, a general Title and Content layout, a side-by-side Comparison layout, and a Picture-with-Caption layout.
