Importing Exporting Custom Color Palettes The color themes can also be saved as a PowerPoint theme (. thmx file format). To save the current theme go to Design menu and then under Themes section click the down arrow small button. Then click Save Current Theme to open the Save dialog box.
What is a PowerPoint theme? A theme is a predefined set of colors, fonts, and visual effects that you apply to your slides for a unified, professional look. Using a theme gives your presentation a harmonious appearance with minimal effort.
Create a Custom Color Scheme Click the Page Layout tab. Click the Colors button in the Themes group. Select Create a Custom Color Scheme button. Set the theme colors. Enter a name for your color palette. Click Save.
To change the current theme to another theme: On the DESIGN tab, in the Themes group, click More. Do one of the following: Under Custom, choose a custom theme to apply. Under Office, click a built-in theme to apply. Click Browse for Themes, and locate and click a theme.
To create PowerPoint slides, from a list in Excel, follow these steps: Open the Excel file. Activate the sheet where the data is stored in a named Excel table. Open the PowerPoint presentation with the macros and main slide. Be sure the main slide, that you want to duplicate, is the first slide in the presentation.
Save the theme file on your computer. Open your Excel file. On the Page Layout ribbon, click on the triangle to expand the Themes button and click on Browse for Themes. Select the file you saved in step 1 above and click on the Open button to apply the theme to this Excel file.

Change theme fonts On the View tab, select Slide Master. Then on the Slide Master tab, select Fonts. In the Create New Theme Fonts dialog box, under the Heading font and Body font boxes, select the fonts that you want to use. In the Name box, type an appropriate name for the new theme fonts, and then select Save.
Create a new theme color On the Design tab, click the arrow under Variants, and point to Colors. Click Customize Colors. Click a color box that you want to change. Click a new color in the Colors dialog box. Repeat steps 3 and 4 for each color you want to change. Close the Colors dialog box.
Apply a theme to all slides In the slide thumbnail pane on the left, select a slide. On the Design tab, in the Themes group, click the More button (illustrated below) to open the entire gallery of themes: Point the mouse at the theme you want to apply. Right-click it, and then select Apply to All Slides.
