sometimes we want to combine entrance and exit effects so that one block of text appears on the screen and then it disappears and a second block of text replaces it so the way that we do that is we assign an entrance effect to the block of text and then an exit effect to that same block of text so i have the animation pane open and im going to start by clicking on the block of text and giving it an entrance effect and ill just use fly in now what i want to happen is i want for this block of text also to fly out when im when i give it the proper timing or trigger when you if i just clicked and chose the exit effect it would replace the existing effect and i dont want that to happen so what i need to do is select the box and then im going to go over here to where it says add animation and that allows me to add a second animation to the same item so here im going to have disappear be the animation so for the exit so now you can see i have two animations theyre numbered and over her

6 design rules for making visually appealing slides Page layout is your first priority. Establish clear information hierarchy. Keep everything consistent across slides! Establish an intentional, but limited, color palette. Typography is a vibe. Add graphic elements but dont overdo it.
To enhance the appearance of your PowerPoint presentation, use fewer lines of text and a large font size to make your content stand out and easy to read. Aim for 3-6 lines of text per slide, focusing on presenting essential points.
The 66 rule suggests that you dont use more than six lines or bullet points on each slide and limit each line or bullet point to six words. Following the 66 rule helps to ensure that youre limiting the amount of information on your slides so you can continue to present it rather than have your audience read it.
On the Home tab, in the Insert group, click Text Box. On the slide, click the location where you want to add the text box. Type or paste your text in the text box.
