Code 32 (decimal) is a nonprinting spacing character.
ASCII is a common encoding stan- dard, which computers use in order to store text-based data. In the standard, the number 65 corresponds to the capital letter A. Thus, if a computer wanted to store the capital letter A, it would need to store the number 65 in binary (which happens to be 1000001).
The ASCII character 255 is actually a non-breaking space, or NBSP!
Code 128 is a high-density linear barcode symbology defined in ISO/IEC 15417:2007. It is used for alphanumeric or numeric-only barcodes. It can encode all 128 characters of ASCII and, by use of an extension symbol (FNC4), the Latin-1 characters defined in ISO/IEC 8859-1..
ASCII stands for American Standard Code for Information Interchange. It ranges from 0 to 255 in Decimal or 00 to FF in Hexadecimal. ASCII codes can be divided into two sets - Standard ASCII codes and Extended ASCII codes.
The ASCII character 255 is actually a non-breaking space, or NBSP!
Characters with values from 128 to 255 are the Extended character set. To actually display most of the extended character set you must use an escape character in a string to create that character. The escape character is \xnnn. Where nnn is the hexidecimal value for the character.
In the ASCII character set, each binary value between 0 and 127 is given a specific character. Most computers extend the ASCII character set to use the full range of 256 characters available in a byte. The upper 128 characters handle special things like accented characters from common foreign languages.
