a follow-up work to uh its about follow-up to the original um s4 paper which um probably youve heard of um and the bulk of this talk will be about uh s4 specifically mostly because thats where the bulk of the um the modeling comes from um and then we and then the um audio side was a direct application of s4 in a more straightforward way so i think um the hard part will be understanding kind of the details of this model and then um and then ill have a focus on the audio applications as motivation um right so but um again so this will be about more sequence modeling at large especially about understanding s4 and so um right so this talk would just be about deep sequence models in general now for our purposes were going to think of a sequence model as a black box sequence of sequence map composed of primitive layers um so a layer of a sequence model that the way were going to define it is that its just a its a function that transforms a sequence of inputs to a sequence of outputs
