To create extra spaces before, after, or in-between your text, use the nbsp; (non-breaking space) extended HTML character. For example, with the phrasing extra space using a double space, we have the following code in our HTML.
The div tag is known as Division tag. The div tag is used in HTML to make divisions of content in the web page like (text, images, header, footer, navigation bar, etc). Div tag has both open() and closing () tag and it is mandatory to close the tag.
Since there is no blank space keyboard character in HTML, you must type the entity nbsp; for each space to add. To insert blank spaces in text in HTML, type nbsp; for each space to add. For example, to create five blank spaces between two words, type the nbsp; entity five times between the words.
To create extra space between elements on the page CSS uses two properties, the padding and margin properties. The picture below shows what padding and margin do. Padding is the distance between the elements content area and any border that might be applied to the element. Margin is extra space around the element.
Text Indentation. The text-indent property is used to specify the indentation of the first line of a text: Letter Spacing. The letter-spacing property is used to specify the space between the characters in a text. Line Height. The line-height property is used to specify the space between lines: Word Spacing. White Space.
To include blank space in a document, you can use the element. It is like an image, but actually, there isnt a picture there. You should specify as one of the following types: horizontal, vertical, and block, which can be both horizontal and vertical.
A commonly used entity in HTML is the non-breaking space: nbsp; A non-breaking space is a space that will not break into a new line. Two words separated by a non-breaking space will stick together (not break into a new line). This is handy when breaking the words might be disruptive.
How to use div tag in HTML to divide the page Step 1: Add the div tags. Lets say you want to divide the page into three sections. Step 2: Add the class name to div tags. The next step is to add the class name to the div tags and give them a unique name. Step 3: Add the contents. At this point, youre all set!
The HTML tag is used to create some white-space. This tag is history in HTML5, there is no more support in HTML5 also this tag does not support by any major browsers. Attribute: type: This attribute holds the value for the type of space horizontal, vertical or block.
In CSS property padding and margin can be used to tab space instead of non-breaking spaces (nbsp). By using padding property : By using padding property we can give any amount of spaces in any direction of an element (i.e, top, right, bottom, left) from the border of the element.
