hello everyone what is up welcome back to my channel if youre new here hi im maddie i run edtech classroom the blog podcast and youtube channel and in todays two minute tech tip im going to be sharing how to resize your google slides now there are lots of different instances in which you might want to change the dimensions of your slides in google slides one reason that immediately comes to mind is lets say youre trying to create some sort of printable worksheet that you want to share with your students youre going to want to change the dimensions of your slides to be eight and a half by eleven so without further ado lets get started so right now we are inside of a brand new google slides file and im going to show you how to resize this slide so that its eight and a half by eleven again you can resize this to be any dimensions youd like this is just the example im using for the video so to get started well go up to the top left hand corner and well click on the button tha

The 16:9 widescreen setting is the default value for new presentations you create. When you change the slide size for a presentation, the size you choose only applies to that presentation. You can also change the orientation of all the slides in your presentation.
Default PowerPoint is NOT HD. So we know that the default dimension of a presentation is 1280 x 720, and that your HD television is capable of displaying 1920 x 1080. You see already a problem with default PowerPoint presentations. Default PowerPoint presentations are not in HD; they are of lower quality.
The slide size format for new PowerPoint presentations is 16:9 by default. It is advised to use this as the NEW standard for most current overhead projects and monitors. However, you may quickly switch your slide size ing to your presentation needs.
