The tutorial explains how to create a media gallery template using a portrait layout in PowerPoint 2013. To change the orientation of the slide, navigate to the Design tab, select Slide Size, and choose Custom Slide Size. The default is widescreen, but for a portrait mode suitable for an iPad, switch to Onscreen Show (4x3 ratio). Select the portrait layout, noting that the dimensions are 10 inches for width and 7.5 inches for height. After making these adjustments, you can click OK to return to the slide.
