Im Katrina and on todays HR quickie by HR sucks we are going to talk about writing employees up first things first you want to make sure that the employee actually did something wrong that they actually violated a policy I do you know that you have to be able to reference the policy some what policy should be in their job description it could be in their employee contract it could be in the employee handbook but you have to be able to prove that they knew this was a policy and that they violated this policy knowing that it was a policy next thing is you have to determine what the severity of the write-up is going to be is it going to be a verbal right is it going to be a written Rider is it going to be a second rib or a final written that all depends on what kinds of conversations were had with this employee prior to doing this one youve already talked about it with them several times and its not something thats crazy egregious like embezzlement murder stealing but make sure you a
