now let us discuss about 1 bit sliding window protocol the name itself specifies the meaning one bit that means the sender window size as well as the receiver window size is one that means at a time sender can sense only one frame to the receiver and receiver can also receives w one frame from the sender uh lets see what is one bit sliding window protocol so first the sender can send one frame to the receiver and then sender will waits for the acknowledgement from the receiver only after receiving the acknowledgement from the receiver then only it can send another frame to the receiver so sender sends a frame to the receiver after that receiver provides acknowledge ment to the sender after receiving the acknowledgement sender can send second frame to the receiver so likewise the process will continue so we can say that one bit sliding window protocol is similar to stop and wait protocol why because in stop and wait protocol also at a time sender can send only one frame and receiver ca

A sliding window protocol is a feature of packet-based data transmission protocols. Sliding window protocols are used where reliable in-order delivery of packets is required, such as in the data link layer (OSI layer 2) as well as in the Transmission Control Protocol (TCP).
2. Go-Back-N. The sliding window (pipelined) protocols achieve utilization of network bandwidth by not requiring the sender to wait for an acknowledgment before sending another frame. In Go-Back-N, the sender controls the flow of packets, meaning weve got a simple and dummy receiver.
The TCP sliding window is a mechanism used in the TCP (Transmission Control Protocol) to optimize the use of network bandwidth and improve overall efficiency. It allows a sender to transmit multiple segments (bytes or packets) before receiving an acknowledgment from the receiver.
The basic idea of sliding window protocol is that both sender and receiver keep a ``window of acknowledgment. The sender keeps the value of expected acknowledgment; while the receiver keeps the value of expected receiving frame. When it receives an acknowledgment from the receiver, the sender advances the window.
The sliding window (windowing) technique is used by Transmission Control Protocol (TCP) to manage the flow of packets between two computers or network hosts.
Sliding windows are most commonly found in places with an unobstructed view or where maximum ventilation is required. Given that they are very easy to open and close (slide them from left to right), these windows are often placed in places which can be harder to docHub (ex. behind a kitchen sink or above a soaking tub).
When the endpoints establish a TCP session, the Window size field in the TCP header will be used to signal the receiving buffer capacity and govern the amount of data that can be received and processed. Each endpoint will maintain a local receive window (RWND).
These types of window functions are called sliding windows. Sliding windows are functions that perform calculations relative to the current row of a data set.
