On the Home tab, under Insert, click Text. On the pop-up menu, click Text Box. On the slide, click the location where you want to add the text box. Type or paste your text in the text box.
Fill the shape with a color of your choice. Then change the text color to the exact same color as the shape. Drag the text on top of the shape to hide it. You can also hide text on a background image.
On the slide, select the box that contains your text. On the Animations tab, select the Add Animation drop-down menu, and select an animation, such as Appear, Fade In, or Fly In.
By hiding a slide, you prevent it from showing up in your presentation without deleting it. To do this, select the slides that you want to hide, right-click on them and choose Skip slide. Youll see the icon of a crossed-out eye, which means these slides wont be visible in the presentation.
Highlight the text that you wish to hide and select the Font Color icon from the Font section of the Ribbon. Change the color to the same color as the background of your slide. Your text will now be hidden.
Do one of the following: If youre presenting with the full screen slide show on all monitors, go to the slide that appears before the hidden slide, and then press H. If youre using Presenter view, move the pointer to the bottom of the screen to access the slide navigation pane, and then click the hidden slide.
On the slide, select the box that contains your text. Select the Animations tab, and then pick an animation, such as Appear, Fade In, or Fly In. For some animations, such as Fly In, select Effects Options, as youll need to pick a direction for the bullets to fly in from, such as bottom, top, left, or right.
Highlight the text that you wish to hide and select the Font Color icon from the Font section of the Ribbon. Change the color to the same color as the background of your slide. Your text will now be hidden.
