hi in todays video im going to be covering using cgi scripts with the w3m command line browser this will allow us to execute scripts by running a hotkey to open links with video players or um audio players so in a previous video i um i showed you a key map for w3m which would basically take the url and run it through grep and said to remove the google redirect and what ive done is simplify this by putting the code in a cgi script and basically what i can now do is just run a keyboard shortcut and its going to run this script and then importantly its also going to run the back command in w3m to move the browser back a buffer so that you dont get a buffer showing output of shell command after youve finished playing the video so what im doing is basically running three different scripts with three different keyboard shortcuts to either open the video or use task spooler to cue up videos or a script i wrote called pinch which will extract the audio and send it to mpd player so wha
